Space management is fundamentally about supporting people expected to work in office environments. DPA’s approach focuses on supporting your workers while incorporating facilities management and corporate real estate best practices for sustainability.

Strategically, we lead or assist in developing space use approaches and measuring the subjective and objective results, including business unit metrics and allocations.  DPA proprietary software tool www.spacefinder.us.com creates in/out occupancy metrics on which to base alternative officing options.

Tactically, we respect the CRE tenet that the best project is no 'Project'. DPA excels at solving space problems while minimizing the physical impact to existing construction and infrastructure. Our due diligence demonstrated through formal space audits assists clients focused on finding and redeploying underutilized space and FF&E with minimum, or no reconstruction.


While professionals might be expected to work in offices, we often work from anywhere.  In 1991 the DPA partners created the genre of full-service office hoteling with professional services firms (Chicago) to support a work-from-anywhere mobile staff.  2004 saw our second-generation full-service hotel approach (New York); 2008 provided DPA Space, a B-F-C proof of concept in Tampa Bay.  The Better-Faster-Cheaper DPA Space office ‘hostel’ operates from a storefront, gathering street-level lessons learned for higher application.  Tactics such as non-redundant wireless networking, voice-over IP phone use, and repurposed LEED-friendly furnishings demonstrate a viable satellite model for certain firms.
